Effects of Sexual Victimization on Society - 714 Words

There are many ways that a woman can be sexually victimized, such as being psychologically degraded or physically assaulted. It is hard to bring justice for a victim of sexual victimization, more so when the victim does not press charges. Even if charges are pressed it may be hard to prosecute the perpetrator because of the lack of evidence. To some extent our society has become jaded to the impact that sexual abuse has on a person’s wellbeing – as evident in the news article that will be discussed. This paper will also discuss the impact sexual victimization has on society as well as how gender and sexual aggression relates to human sexuality. Sasha Khokha’s (2013) article, Despite Barriers, Farm Worker Breaks Silence About Rape Case, details migrant worker Guadalupe Chavez’s 2006 ordeal of being sexually assaulted by her supervisor. The supervisor coerced Chavez to remove her underwear in exchange for her paycheck and forced her to perform fellatio before letting her go. Chavez’ superior threatened to have a gun in his possession thus Chavez complied for fear of her life. Khokha explains that many migrant workers do not report cases of rape or harassment by superiors because of fear of deportation and being fired from their jobs. Billionaire. Book 1. Ice Trap Review Paper Essay on Billionaire. Book 1. Ice Trap I admit at once, I initially was biased against the book. This stems from the hype around the ethnogenesis series. My first thought vparivayut people another soulless commercial crafts. Yes, thats how I perceive advertising. Almost any. However, I do not read, but condemn not my principle. So he decided to get acquainted and start with Billionaire. Below is how my suspicions were confirmed. The first half of the book was a languid, striking surface and crudity descriptions of all that relates to business and high technology. The character of the protagonist entirely of cardboard. Well, it does not manifest itself in the words and actions of Andrew Gumilev he techie miracle prodigy, exactly as it belongs to the business vorotilam. And the notorious panic attacks do not leave on his personality supermenskoy no trace. He is not a living person, rather naive idea of a perfect girl-oligarch husband. The only thing that touches more or less at the beginning of the book is the image of the wife of the protagonist, Eva Gumilyova. Here it is a real character a sort of a beautiful young lady in everything, but in fact, have lost touch with the reality on the ground going wild sense of their own uniqueness. Her lies and inexplicable act believe. However, it is a memorable Kolchak somewhere in the middle of the book there was a feeling that the author did not reveal associated with Eve secrets. Again, the author states a mystery Margot. It represents and is not disclosed. Looking ahead, I will say that because the author works in absolutely everything no clues or continuing intrigue outlined in the Billionaire we find While there, lying.. There is one plot in the book completed and pleasant in all respects the time the history of Kirsan Ilyumzhinov. Particularly pleased with the episode of the jettisoning gold watch it is very in our opinion Total reading Billionaire to create a full impression of a certain sluggish cotton quilt from the plot of pieces that need to come to life in other books of the series!. And if Eve stories about Margo, interest and desire to learn that further there. The other pieces still remain lifeless. The story about the accident aircraft with artificial intelligence on board he sadly laughable. Tests were conducted once in five companies, including European ones? The pilot was not possible to simply turn off the artificial intelligence? On board there was no engineer, controlling operation of the module? The module itself can not transmit the parameters of its activities via satellite? In general, I have already mentioned in regard to high-tech, the author demonstrates an inexcusable superficiality If we talk about the history of people with silver figurines and different eyes, it is clearly positioned as a kind of general driving. force series. In Billionaire theme is declared say, there is, but not disclosed. And, frankly, it is not particularly sorry. It looks like a flat and primitive attempts of senior high school student to create something mystical and conspirological. However, I do not rule out that other books in the series theme still sparkle Common diagnosis: with the exception of a couple of good moments, the book dummy, designed to stake out a cross-cutting theme Series Recommended.. :. female students dream of the perfect husband-oligarch not recommended: fans of science fiction and classical literature, especially (Bunin and ENU, for use name in vain) .

How to Make a Friend Essays - Friendship, Free Essays, Term Papers How to Make a Friend Some tips for making and keeping a good friend include making a good first impression, keeping in touch with being pushy, and making constant face-to-face contact to keep the relationship going. Friends are one of the most important thing that we need in our lives to be happy. Making a new true friend is a real effort. We need friends because, they're supportive, loving, accepting, and caring. Making a new friend is awesome but it can be very tricky First off, when meeting someone new, find a way to approach them, try not to come off as a creep. You're not sure if this person will have the same interests as you or if they would like your appearance or how you approach them. Here are some tips on how to approach someone: Make a good impression, comment on how you like their outfit or their hair. Tell them your name and offer to shake hands, start a small conversation, talk about each other's interests, and just get to know each other. Secondly, now that you have made an acquaintance, you probably would want to keep in touch with this person, see if they would like to hang out and get something to eat or drink. If they say yes, ask for their number to keep in contact. You shouldn't be too pushy if they don't want to give you their number, they might feel uncomfortable at first. So, instead of getting their number, ask them if they would like to meet up at a certain place and time to get to know each other better and hopefully become friends. Last but not least, meeting face-to-face is a cornerstone to improving your relationship with your new friend into a "real" friend. Be sure to keep in touch, try not to be to clingy, be interested in what they say and be there for them when they need you and they'll do the same for you. Also, inviting them to fun outings like to an amusement park or to a local event that is happening could also improve your friendship. Always remember that it's not easy to make a new friend, it's a real effort to find the perfect friend who can become your best friend.

Autobiographical Incident Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words

Autobiographical Incident - Essay Example Some are funny and some might be very serious to talk about. However, the changes brought by such incidents on life always depend upon the severity of the happening. Here I would like to describe a personal experience that has positively affected my life and thought. This incidence always helps me to remain optimistic in my approach and vision. During last New Year holidays, I was busy in shopping with my friends at Holiday Markets in New York City. These markets offer greatest hits for lots of gifts so we were having a great time buying little packages for our family. Later on, we enjoyed coffee and sandwiches. It was hustle and bustle all around. All the shops were glowing with beautiful lights that also brightened up the whole stuff present in the shops. Just finishing the shopping, we planned to go back with our tokens of love for our family. At that moment when I was walking down the stairs of the last shop, I noticed a person who was crossing the road. This guy was physically disabled. He had both the hand missing and had only one leg. It appeared that he had passed through a terrible accident earlier. It was disgusting looking at an incomplete guy who was young and might have many dreams that cannot be fulfilled because of his filthy condition. However what made me so surprised was a glow and a smile on his face even after such a terrible experience. His face had an unlimited peace. I was wondering as for how he could grin in spite of being in a miserable state. I was so confused at that moment and wished to know the hidden truth behind that peaceful smile. This wish compelled me to go and ask what happened to him and what made him so relaxed even after such a bad experience. I crossed the road and reached nearby. I asked the guy what made him so relaxed in such circumstances. He told that for him happiness is not a matter of external events but it always lies how we react towards odd situations. Our mental attitude plays a great role in real life.

There was involvement of time, effort and strategic thinking among the participants and their parents, which have shown the importance and value of power and authority. Just like the characters in this film, some of those discussed in class have the same want for power and authority too. Buddha and Moses â€Å"But they are fiendishly fascinating too, for they carry keys that open the whole realm of the desired and feared adventure of the discovery of the self† (Campbell 5). Campbell pointed out that soon after the man began to integrate psychological powers into his mind, this could create dangerous messengers that could make or break his entire being and his family. There is a matter of discovery in here. People are looking forward to know the truth. For instance, they want to know what the truth behind their existence. The very evidence in this case is the presence of science and religion. These two have become uneasy companion because they all are motivated by the same quest, and that is to search for the truth and survival. Among the legendary names in history that are

Understanding Business Research Terms and Concepts Essay - 1

Understanding Business Research Terms and Concepts - Essay Example The qualitative article by Snider, (2014) has almost all its information purely in narrative form with an almost non-existent statistics. There is only one incident where statistics are mentioned and the rest of the information surrounds explanation of these figures. This is very helpful in understanding about the literature surrounding the issue of lack of diversity in the tech industries. For the people who are not lovers of figures because of the need for much interpretation, this article is very helpful and actually recommended. The article by Chemaly, (2013) is a quantitative one heavily lined with statistics regarding the lack of diversity in the tech industry. There are statistics on not only the gender, racial and ethnic diversity in employment but also that on managerial diversity as well. The statistics is also based on comparison of the industry a few years ago and the present times and any significant or lack therefore that is present. This information is very helpful in conducting further research as well as gaining an in depth understanding and growth rate comparison. It is however just too much and requires very intense interpretation which may take a lot of time. Since both articles have very significant information, they can be combined to incorporate all the people. By combining the articles, the statistics in the quantitative article will have been explained without requiring much interpretation by the reader. The readers and researchers will have an easier task and hence save a lot of time in the new combined article. The fact that the qualitative article is a bit shallow in comparison with the quantitative one will have been masked with the additional information. Combining the articles will also increase the credibility of the qualitative article as the literature provided will be backed up by evidence in the form of statistics. I am in

As the product already exists, sales staff are made responsible for identifying every potential customer. This does not mean that sales representatives are customer-orientated, as that would involve starting with customer needs and not the product. For Eg:- The focus here is to make the product, and then try to sell it to the target market. However, the problem could be that consumers do not like what is being sold to them. In other words, a market orientation refers to the organization-wide generation, dissemination, and responsiveness to market intelligence. For this month, we are completely protected. In fact, we are covered till April. Beyond that if Yen continues to appreciate, then we will have to take a call to counter it, MSI chief financial officer Ajay Seth said. The companys margins are affected whenever the yen appreciates, while it is beneficial if it depreciates. After the natural disaster that struck the island nation on March 11, the Japanese currency is quoted at about 81 yen against a US dollar compared to that of about 83 yen earlier. There is strong volatility going on at present, with yen appreciating as much as to 76 yen against a dollar recently. Market analysts pointed out that currency hedging is a strong possibility. Usually, Maruti hedges yen against the euro instead of rupee to mitigate the impact, an analyst with a leading brokerage firm, who asked not to be identified, said. On the component sourcing from Japan: Of our total raw material procurement, about 25 per cent are imported. Out of those imported parts, about 80 per cent are purchased in yen. During the October-December period last year, MSI spent Rs 6,959.03 crore in consumption of raw materials and components. It also paid Rs 460 crore as royalty in the quarter to its parent company Suzuki, which is about 5.5 per cent of MSIs total sales. The impact of Japans natural disaster on MSIs production, it will remain unaffected for some time till next month as the company has enough inventory of components. Besides the stock at the plants, getting some supplies, which will reach from Japan that started sailing just before the earthquake. Last week, the company had said it was assessing the possible impact of the natural calamity on its components import from Japan. Earlier, MSI had cancelled the celebrations for rolling out its 1,00,00,000th car in view of the catastrophe. Shares of MSI were trading at Rs 1,170.05 on the Bombay Stock Exchange during late afternoon trade, up 3.42 per cent from its previous close. Albert Einstein Essay -- physics biography bio

Although there are other very interesting physicists who have contributed to the scientific world, I decided to do some research on Albert Einstein. You may have heard funny stories of his quirkiness like not wearing socks, or you may have seen posters of him with his wild, untamed hair. I have wondered what Einstein is really like. What was the personality of this man who was so incredibly smart? And if he really was that smart, why would he treat his hair and feet so poorly? This web page gives a bit of insight to the highly famed physicist. There is a basic overview of the his accomplished theories. Also, I provide a timeline of Einstein's life. His views and politics are a little less known, but what I'm including here that is difficult to find at other web sources is Albert's personality. So, if you are bored with reading about his theories, when he was born, married and died... check out the personality section and discover Einstein's character. The year 1905 is referred to as annus mirabilis ("miracle year") because it is the year in which Einstein introduces the theories that make him famous at the young age of 26. First, in his Special Theory of Relativity, he demonstrates that space and time are not absolute but vary with the proximity of one object to another. Example; for a person living in orbit around the Earth, time would pass more slowly than if he/she were living at sea level. The difference is not great, but it is still there and this is due to the variance in gravity with respect to earth. This would mean Isaac Newton was wrong, although his theories still generally hold for calculating dynamics close to Earth. Also, Einstein takes on the topic of light and by the time he publishes the pa... ...al libety, tolerance, and equality of all citizens before the law prevail. Political liberty implies the freedom to express one's political opinions orally and in writing; tolerance implies respect for any and every individual opinion. These conditions do not obtain in Germany at the present time. Those who have done most for the cause of international understanding, among them some of the leading artists, are being persecuted there. Any social organism can become physically distempered just as any individual can, especially in times of difficulty. Nations usually survive these distempers. I hope that healthy conditions will soon supervene in Germany and that in future her great men like Kant and Goethe will not merely be commemorated from time to time but that the principles which they taught will also preail in public life and in the general consciousness.

Missile Defense Agency

The Missile Defense Agency is an organization known for it’s selectiveness in choosing candidates to work for them. Knowing this, I am submitting my resume in hopes of becoming a part of the MDA team at the Department of Defense. National security is an issue that every American must be concerned about in this era, and in my case I have prepared through my education and experience to become an employee of such an agency as this. The mission of the Missile Defense Agency is to develop, test, and prepare for deployment a missile defense system, and my experience in management and logistics has prepared me to work in a field such as this. I feel that my strength as an employee, my ability to problem solve and my abilities with strategic planning would make me a strong candidate to become a part of the Missile Defense Agency. The Missile Defense Agency plays an important role in the United States today. More than ever our country needs to be prepared for the unthinkable. Every day on the news there are many mentions of events happening around the world that renew my belief that a prepared Missile Defense Agency is essential to the national security of our country. To this end, I am dedicated to the mission of the MDA and the Department of Defense, not only because I am a citizen of this country and have a personal stock in the security of our nation, but because my own personal experience and education would lend a lot to the agency and my contributions would definitely be substantial. Furthermore, my daughter has recently enlisted in the United States Army, and I feel my personal connection with the importance of the security of this nation would make me an excellent candidate for the MDA Logistics position. My education has been the most formative experience of my life. My Bachelors of Science in Human Resource Management was obtained from Athens State University in Alabama. During my time at university I was able to learn a great deal about business, management, and how important it is to learn from every experience. Much of my education was not within the classroom, but outside of it, because I am a person that enjoys learning hands-on and obtaining new skill sets that will help me develop into a better person and employee. When I began to seek an institution to obtain my Masters degree I chose Florida Institute of Technology in Alabama because of the degree they offered in Management and Logistics Management. This degree has helped me to develop a strong aptitude for data analysis and a high attention to detail. Graduate college courses have exposed me to transportation security, transportation economics, strategic intermodel transportation, and much more to prepare me for a career in the logistics arena. Modes of instruction included correspondence courses, formal classes, developmental assignments, and independent studies. The courses I`ve taken in my major at Florida Institute of Technology have given me a broader understanding of logistics and distribution. The skill sets I’ve obtained as a student have prepared me to become a strong member of the Missile Defense Agency. The above training and experience will enable me to perform well at the Missile Defense Agency. Effective oral communication is critical to the mission of your organization, and I have this skill developed through years of education and career experience. Talent for ensuring proper staff direction at all times to maximize contribution of each individual including planning, directing, work assignments, and expediting problem resolution is one of my most valuable skills. The ability to analyze logistics support needs accurately and to establish and maintain satisfactory relationship with other employees is an important part of my prior work experiences, and I am adept at developing and maintaining detailed administrative and procedural processes that reduce redundancy, improve efficiency, and achieve organizational objectives. I performed the duties of logistics functions and principles by implementing a quarterly inventory control system, and my acute ability to transform organizational strategies into action and achievement with superior ability to lead performance-driven teams. I have also been able to demonstrate diverse skills by interacting with personnel from a variety of ethnic backgrounds. All in all, my skills and abilities have prepared me to become a successful and committed employee of the Missile Defense Agency and I look forward to joining your team. Â

But is that the right thing to do? Should people have the choice to end their own life? What is euthanasia anyway? Euthanasia is when a terminally ill patient chooses to end her\his own life by participating in physician-assisted suicide. The practise of euthanasia should never be legalized in the UK and should be banned wherever it is presently legal such as Belgium, Netherlands, and few parts of USA. I think euthanasia either, voluntary, involuntary, or nonvoluntary, direct or indirect is wrong for a number of reasons. Firstly, let the ill people live as long as they can, maybe there will be a cure for them in the future. The advances in medical science the recent past have been inspiring. Some medical conditions, which were thought to be incurable earlier, can now be cured. These advances in medical technology have made it possible, to completely cure several types of deadly diseases such as pneumonia, malaria, cancer, kidney failure etc. We aren’t giving them a chance to live; we are depriving them of hope to recover. Just like the past, the diseases that we might think to be incurable might be completely curable tomorrow. Legalizing such a thing will only persuade more people to give up their courage and will to fight it out. You will only see more people in critical 50-50 conditions taking this option. Secondly, It is against the will of god to end a life. Religious groups would ultimately argue euthanasia is a crime against life. I am a Christian person and we believe that euthanasia is wrong. Life is a gift from god, god has created birth and death and it is a part of the life processes so we should respect them, therefore no human being has the authority to take the life of any innocent person, even if that person wants to die. The Ten Commandments states â€Å"thou shall not kill† that suggest euthanasia is wrong. I know that euthanasia is a way to relieve extreme pain and a way to end the suffering. But I always remember when the Son of God (jesus) suffered for us, for our sins, he didn’t cut short his suffering therefore not down to us to end our life.  And thirdly, there’ll be more and more sick people considering this option and giving up their fight against their illness. The patients might even  consider it thinking of how much of trouble they are causing their family. All in all, keeping hope alive in a patient is very important. As it is a person in extreme pain has very little hope, why kill it too by providing him with a hope destroying alternative? It is up to the people around to instill hope in him/her to fight it out. Let people live, give them hope life is very important, every single life. Ban euthanasia.

Just Another Day at the Office

Just Another Day at the Office Personal computer (pc) repair technicians and doctors have a lot in common. Patients arrive at the doctor's door bearing all manner of complaints or problems. I am sure doctors have seen and heard about every type of ignorant stunt a person can think of or do. I have been a pc repair technician for approximately 3 years. Like a doctor, I thought I had seen and heard of every crazy stunt imaginable until I received a call from Carver Financial about a computer crash. When I arrived at the job site, Lola and Anthony, the office and terminal managers, greeted me. "Boy! Are we ever glad to see you," they both cried in unison, "We have completely screwed up the computer." "Well, show me the computer that is down while you tell me what happened," I replied. "Linda, Lola's co-worker, told us upgrading our computer system from Windows 95 to 98 would be easy for us to do ourselves. An Office Depot. store in Fremont, California. All we had to do was purchase the Windows 98 upgrade CD," Anthony sa id, "Except, we could not find the CD." Lola chimed in, "We picked out this CD instead. The salesman at Office Depot said, 'It would work just as well to upgrade our system.'" I looked down at the box she was holding in her hands. The words "Windows 2000 Upgrade" stared back at me in big, white letters.I just stood there for a minute shaking my head, and I silently groaned to myself. "Oh God! How could anybody be that stupid," I thought. With an audible sigh, I said aloud, "Let me run a few diagnostic tests. I will be able to tell you how much damage has occurred in a couple of minutes." I started with the basic stuff like making sure the computer would...

Drug Trafficing Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words

Drug Trafficing - Essay Example es a Violent Street Gang/Drug Enterprise as a criminal enterprise having an organizational structure, acting as a continuing criminal conspiracy, which employs violence and any other criminal activity to sustain the enterprise (Wiley, 1997). There are at least 21,500 gangs and more than 731,000 active gang members in the United States alone. These gangs are known to conduct criminal activity in all states and U.S. territories. Earlier, it was believed that the problem of gangs and drug trafficking was mainly concentrated in major urban areas, however recent data show that gangs also are proliferating in rural and suburban areas. Increasing law enforcement pressure in urban areas of the country forced the gang members to flee or seek more lucrative drug markets is one of the reasons. This proliferation in non-urban areas increasingly is accompanied by violence and is threatening society in general (NDIC, 2005). Questions such as why has youth gang involvement in drug trafficking increased in the past decade has still not being answered completely. The popular image of youth gangs ties them directly to drugs and violent crime (Klein, 1995). Research conducted in the 1980’s and 1990’s has documented extensive youth and adult gang member involvement in drug use and generally higher levels of use compared with non-gang members. According to Fagan (19–54) there are basically two reasons: (1) the dramatic expansion of cocaine markets in the 1980’s, accompanied by sharp price reductions, and (2) socioeconomic changes in American society that disrupted traditional social controls (Curry and Spergel, 381–405). Drug use, drug trafficking, and violence overlap considerably in gangs (Howell and Decker, in press). Moreover, gang involvement appears to increase individual involvement in drug use, drug trafficking, gun carrying, and violence and, perhaps, to prolong involvement in drug sales (Youth Gangs and Violence, 1998). There is no doubt that with the increase

Report explaining the difficulties in recruiting, training, motivating Essay

Report explaining the difficulties in recruiting, training, motivating and rewarding staff in a given Financial Services company - Essay Example current employees, the research findings revealed that employees are very much satisfied with NatWest’s training and development programme including its motivational strategies and reward system. However, there is a need for NatWest HR manager to consider the importance of job analysis to increase the company’s ability of hiring the right person to perform a specific role and responsibility within the financial institution. A member of the Royal Bank of Scotland Group – the Group, the National Westminster Bank also known as â€Å"NatWest† was established back in 1968 when the National Provincial Bank and Westminster Bank decided to enter a merger contract (NatWest, 2009a). Since then, NatWest managed to establish 3,600 branches that provide the people with a wide-range of personal, business, and commercial banking services such as the use of debit and credit cards, telephone banking, home, car, and commercial loans, corporate bonds, Wealth management services, and the touch-screen share dealings which assists the UK government’s privatization programme among others (NatWest, 2009a, b) The application of effective recruitment process, training programmes, motivational strategies, and rewarding of staff are among the key issues that needs to be addressed to enable NatWest’s HR manager to keep employees satisfied with their current job. In line with this, a quantitative and qualitative research survey will be conducted to examine NatWest’s employees’ perception with regards to the company’s recruitment process, training programmes, motivational strategies and reward system. Based on the research findings, difficulties and challenges NatWest is facing will be identified. Considering the global crisis, financial institutions around the world are facing tight competition in terms of being able to capture a bigger market share as compared to other financial institutions. In line with this, the HR manager of NatWest plays a crucial role in terms of

Do you find the UN reports argument that family planning is a Essay

Do you find the UN reports argument that family planning is a fundamental human right-and a basis of other rights- convincing - Essay Example Family planning is a right that many countries hold as an important and key agenda. It is central to the development of a healthy nation. Family planning is essential for the health of mothers and their children, gender equality, and quality of education. These elements of a well-functioning society contribute to a reduction in poverty. The fact that many nations in the international community support the furtherance of basic reproductive rights fully is due to the great amount of research and debate. This brings onto the table the issue of individual human rights. Besides, family planning is a human right because it makes education and other opportunities more and easily attainable to both women and their families. In a recent study included in the UN Report, women with access to family planning services gained higher levels of education compared to those without (UN Report, 31). It is dangerous to slip into the assumption that correlation means causation, but there is a definite positive relationship between family planning and higher levels of education among women. Furthermore, the report outlined that not only women benefitted from family planning, but also the families of those women who had access to the service, who also showed higher levels of education (UN Report 3). When families are able to plan the number of children they have, they are able to make financial analysis to ensure that each child has the education they deserve. Family planning is a human right because it aids education and other opportunities for women and their fami lies. The UN states several convincing arguments that detail on the importance and necessity of establishing family planning as a basic human right. UN claims that the freedom to choose one’s own family can reinforce other human rights. In addition, the reproduction right has several layers: it is expressible in â€Å"both freedoms and entitlements including civil, political, economic,

Research on Cost Control and Management of Real Estate Project Essay Example for Free

Research on Cost Control and Management of Real Estate Project Essay This paper takes the cost control and the management of real estate project as the object in research, and analyzes and studies relevant issues. By analyzing the cost structure of real estate construction, this paper identifies problems in cost control and management of real estate construction at present. Along with the fast development of China’s economy, the real estate industry has achieved wonderful successes, pulling economic development significantly, and contributing a lot to China’s economic development. Today, real estate construction assumes more tasks. In 2008, 3,000 billion RMB enters real estate construction. The cost control and regular management of real estate construction turns into the focus. Once the construction cost is out of control, it will lead to a great waste and will bring about more pressures for property management in later. A nice cost control is meaningful for the whole real estate construction project. To realize better cost control and management of real estate construction is important for today’s harmonious society. The cost of real estate construction is composed of four parts. The first part is the land cost, accounting for 30% of the total cost. It mainly refers to cost for building land, greening land, equipped facility land, and property management land. The second part is the construction installation cost, as the main body of real estate construction cost, accounting for 20%-50% of the total cost. Among the construction installation cost, materials cost the most, accounting for 60% of construction installation cost. The third part is the cost for equipments and machines, accounting for 1%-3% of the total cost. This part is mainly for meeting the needs of operations, management, and maintenance. The fourth part is other cost, accounting for more than 15% of the total cost. It is difficult to control this part. It mainly includes the cost for investigation and design, the cost for project supervision, and the cost for infrastructure. In special, the management cost usually surpasses the budget, which is the largest part that is hard to control in real estate construction. The management cost is only accounting for 1% of the total cost. But the absolute amount is large. It is easy for the construction company costing more in management. At present, serious problems exist in the cost control and management of real estate construction. For example, for some real estate construction, the design is earlier than the study of feasibility, which makes the later turn into useless. In bidding, some construction companies perform illegally, which makes the bidding fail to control project cost well. The popularization of assigned subcontracts and various subcontracts serve as potential threats for project quality. The delay for project payment, especially for workers’ wages, is serious. Some projects can not manage the changes of designs. Construction companies fail to follow the designs completely, which may lead to larger costs for construction. Some construction companies emphasize on the control of quality and period but fail to control the cost. All these activities make the cost of real estate construction out of control in China, which is harmful for the sustainable and healthy development of real estate industry . * Fail to Estimate the Project Exactly: Investment estimation is performed at the very beginning, namely in the study of feasibility. Present compilation of study of feasibility is lack of details. No effective items to control the number of project. The estimation has a lower preciseness. Besides, the study of feasibility has no necessary investigation. Some potential geological disasters can not be identified effectively, which leads to the rise of costs. Although some companies make â€Å"details for implement†, the effect is poor. In order to establish the project, some companies may reduce the number of project and decrease costs. * The Compilation of Project Budget Has Poor Reliability: At the stage of design, the investigation is far from sufficient. Some fundamental materials for design are inexact. As a result, the design may be irrational and will be changed significantly in construction, which causes the poor reliability of budget. * Working Drawing Budget is Unpractical: At the working drawing design stage, compile the project budget according to the design. The working drawing budget is to calculate the cost of design. The rationality of working drawing budget is about how to organize the construction and how to reach the design requirements by what kinds of methods, plus how to arrange the construction period, and how to manage workers and machines under different seasons, according to scientific designs. All these tasks are supposed to be arranged by construction companies. For design companies, to compile the budget is unpractical. * Do not Follow Basic Construction Procedures and Cannot Control Costs: For some projects, time is urgent. Therefore, the design is maybe imperfect. And the construction does not follow the basic procedures strictly. Sometimes, the study of feasibility turns into useless papers. As a result, the estimation and the budget cannot control the project cost effectively. * Contract is not Managed Well, Especially for Subcontracts and External Workers: Some real estate developers neglect to manage contracts. They do not follow the terms written in contracts strictly. Besides, some developers cannot calculate the cost of project quantities correctly. They are incapable of managing external workers effectively. * Irregular Management and Many Changes for Project: Real estate developers cannot design properly and have to change the management methods. Or, the execution is weak. They can change the design as will. Then, the scale of project is increasing and the cost is rising. * The Financing Structure is Unreasonable and Depends on One Financing Channel too Much, Which Contributes to the Rise Of Costs: At present, the funds for real estate construction in China are mainly from domestic loans, foreign funds, self-collected by construction companies, and other sources. Although financing ways are few and some are immature, limits are more. Sometimes, funds can not arrive in time. In order to insure the process of project, the construction companies have to apply loans from banks. Therefore, a large proportion of construction funds are from banks as loans. And the credit period is long and cannot match with investment return. The characteristics of real estate industry determine the lagged-behind investment return. One financing channel increases risks and costs, which leads to the accumulation of loan balance in banks, increasing construction costs and pressures for later in operation. * Cost Management is Unscientific. Lack the Idea of Cost Control. System is Imperfect. Management Cost Is High: By auditing lots of projects, we find that management is one of factors that cause overspending. Main items that cause overspending include management fees, compensation fees for removing, and supervision. Main reasons include: Lack a perfect cost control system and cannot manage and control the cost systematically, which makes it hard to identify the out-of-control of cost in time. Lack the idea of cost control and the constraint mechanism. Project managers are always focusing on quality and construction period, but not cost control. The absence of system makes the expenditure more irregular. No integrated standards for management fee are effective. Workers are more than necessary in construction companies.

Systemic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (SIRS)

Systemic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (SIRS) Nguyen Ngoc Gia Linh Case Study the Wasp Sting Wasps are the order Hymenoptera family which contain venom and poisonous substance can have transmitted to human through a sting (Carl and Max 2016). A 10- year- old girl in the case was stung by a wasp while playing at school. For approximately 20 hours, she had an asymptomatic that includes sharp pain, burning in the initial sensation, redness, swelling and itching. Because the wasps venom contains phospholipase A, phospholipase B and mastoparan peptide which effect directly to mast cell degranulation and also release of histamine. In addition, ischemia increases the inflammatory response with subsequent vasodilation and increases capillary permeability with redness at the site of the sting to the patient (Carl and Max 2016). Unfortunately, the patient passed away on day 5 due to systemic inflammatory response syndrome and hypersensitivity. This report will focus on explanation of the innate immune reaction which can disrupt the normal function of each the several stated physiologi cal systems during the development of systemic inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS). An innate immune system is the adaptive immune responses which can be maintained activation of a pathogen and made of defences against infection (KhanAcademy 2014). There are many types of cell in the innate immune system in order to work together for defendant and protection human body. However, the progression requires in both elements of cellular immunity and humoral immunity. The cellular components consist of lymphocytes with both T cells (CD4+ and CD8+) and B cells; macrophages; and mast cells. On the other hand, the humoral factors include immunoglobulin E (IgE) and cytokines (Carl and Max 2016). Moreover, the group of blood protein act as disruption of the membranes microorganism to produce an inflammatory response and to arrange the forces of the adaptive immune system (Alberts et al. 2002). In this situation, the most influence is mast cells which are found in mucous membranes, connect tissues to heal wound and defence the pathogens via the inflammatory response. Basically, when mast cells are activated, the particle cytokines are released during this process which contains chemical molecules such as histamine, phospholipases, and neurotoxins to produce an inflammatory cascade and act as messenger service or warning for circulating threats (Zhang and An 2009). Some of the venoms of hymenopterous insects include bees, wasps which contain some of the enzymes such as small proteins and peptides; phospholipases and histamine (Voronov et al. 1999). Histamine is going to play a pathophysiological regulatory role in cellular for binding four subtypes of G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCR). Furthermore, histamine produces many of the effects of inflammatory and hypersensitivity that affect increased vascular permeability and smooth muscle contraction. Some above classic symptoms lead to the signs of allergic reaction which cause inducing increased blood flow from capillaries into the tissues and vasodilatation (Benly 2015). In addition, smooth muscles are arou nd the trachea that is contracted by histamine to make difficulty breathe or suffocation (Lauren 2012). However, the dangerous circumstance with the patient makes lots of IgE antibodies in response to wasp toxins that can cause triggers degranulation of mast cells. In such a case, the release blood fluid into the tissues reduces the blood volume that the heart induces inefficiently pump and create a heart attack. The innate immune response such as systemic inflammatory response syndrome-SIRS disrupts the homeostatic function of following three main systems that include respiratory system, cardiovascular system and renal system. Firstly, a girl patient was diagnosed with SIRS that include reference to acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) or acute lung injury (ALI). ALI and ARDS occur on hypoxia, hypercapnia, acidosis and pulmonary hypertension. These were defined a pulmonary endothelial dysfunction that caused alveolar oedema because of high protein secretion and phagocytic immune cells (Janet et al. 2014). The activity of neutrophils are increased the high concentrations of pro- inflammatory cytokines to migrate damaged endothelium that influence alveolar denudation damage the basal membrane (Janet et al. 2014). Neutrophils are in the lungs which effect of IL-8 and the concentration of cytokine in patients with ARDS is correlated with mortality. Blood carries oxygen and other essential substances to your organs and tissues. However, when the gas exchange functions are failed in oxygenation and carbon dioxide elimination, these are classified hypoxia and hypercapnia. Hypoxia is characterised by an arterial oxygen tension (PaO2) which is lower than 60 mm Hg. Hypercapnia respiratory failure is characterized by a PaCO2 that is higher than 50 mm Hg (David 2000). On the other hand, the decreased blood supply to various cells and tissues due to tissues hypoxia that leads increase in respiratory rate to take in more oxygen. Consequently, the patient was increased respiratory rate of 59 breaths per minute (normally breath rate is 15- 30 breaths per minute with 6- 10 years old) (Edward 2015). Normally, the blood oxygen saturation is 95%- 100%, but the patient got below 90% oxygen. There must not be able to take up the oxygen for inhaling and carbon dioxide for exhaling. In addition, the lungs in ARDS also affect to brain functions that the patient becomes confused and disor iented. In this conditions, concentrating ability are impaired and it also lost awareness of time and place because blood flow significantly reduce and the ability of oxygen absorption is also limited. In this case, the girl administrated of chlorpheniramine maleate which had some of the side effects such as drowsiness, dizziness, or headache. Moreover, certain human disorders are attributed to the activity of the immune system that is commonly known as hypersensitivities. Both the heart and blood vessels are sensitive to cause vasodilatation in SIRS that act on histamine H1-receptors of dilation in blood vessels. In hypovolemia, tachycardia is initiated as a response in acting on H2- receptors where the blood volume decreases (Benly 2015).When the patient suffers around 124 beats per minute in heart rate and the vasoconstriction decrease which is moderate tachycardia or known as stage 3 of hypovolemic shock. As a result, the patients exhibited a weak peripheral pulse and an unrecordable blood pressure because the ventricles do not have enough time to fill with blood before heart contracts. In systemic inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS), organ dysfunction and high- risk factors for multiple organ failures influent renal failure. The circulatory dysfunction of acute renal failure is involved both vascular and tubular factor that reduce in renal blood flow with falling oxygen and substrate delivery to the tubule cells (Robert et al. 2004). On the other hand, the creatinine will be released by the muscle cells and transported to the kidneys to be excreted from the body in urine. The kidney failure causes high urinary creatinine level and obstructions within the urinary tract. Base on all the symptoms, the girl is immediate hypersensitivities, which is severe response to an antigen. Sensitization to an allergen during the initial exposure leads to the production of large immunoglobulin E (IgE) which is mediated release of histamine and other mediators from mast cells and basophils (Frederic et al. 2015). Moreover, the patient used two kinds of drugs: chlorpheniramine maleate and dexamethasone, which did not work with patients symptoms. Chlorpheniramine maleate is the most widely used of the classical antihistamine that used in allergic reactions. And, dexamethasone is investigated that the effect of glucocorticoids and blocked a natural chemical during an allergic rejection. However, hypersensitivity is a contraindication in both dexamethasone and chlorpheniramine maleate, so the patient should not take these when she has serious symptoms (TabletWise). Basically, there is no cure for hypersensitivity disease but the treatment strategy is controlling the symptom. Although type I hypersensitivity reactions can cause significantly inconvenience in terms of their signs and symptoms. However, the most important medication has been shown to use along with emergency medical treatment of hypersensitivity that is epinephrine (Becky 2015). Epinephrine is in a class of medications called ÃŽÂ ±- and ÃŽÂ ²-adrenergic agonists which it works by relaxing the muscles in the airways and tightening the blood vessels. Normally, it is injected at the first sign of a serious reaction subcutaneously (under the skin) or intramuscularly (into the muscle). It should inject when patient is suspected about some serious signs of allergic reaction include itching, swelling, skin redness, fast heart beat, weak pulse, confusion, and losing control of urine (Epinephrine Injection).
