Its an automatic response, when you see a car accident you take out your cell phone and dial for help, or when a child is waiting for a ride they will call their parents to see how far away they are. It is a great convenience for society to be able to do such things. Imagine if you didn't even have to call somebody to find out where they were. It may seem like a futuristic idea, humanity being capable of such mind reading; however, the advancement of GPS, global positioning systems, those ideas are coming to life in the present. GPS is a way to track one's position at anytime. This is done through the use of satellites monitored by stations on the ground. There are signals transmitted from a given satellite to the receiver on Earth. It is this information that gives precise location to one's whereabouts. Although this service sounds quite convenient and has its obvious benefits, there are other issues to be considered. For example, many ethical dilemmas that play from privacy issues. In a world when at one time you could take a walk to remove yourself from the eye of another, we not may be under constant supervision of sorts. By selecting the ââ¬Å"Settingsâ⬠option, and then selecting the ââ¬Å"Control Panelâ⬠icon, you are gradually edging towards a dial-up network connection. Next, double-click the ââ¬Å"Add/Remove Programsâ⬠icon in the window. This icon resembles two disks with one red and one green dot on them. Click on the ââ¬Å"Windows Setupâ⬠tab at the top of the window that has opened. This should be followed by a click of the ââ¬Å"Detailâ⬠button. You should then click to add a check in the box next to the ââ¬Å"Dial-up Networkingâ⬠icon, which is in the shape of a telephone. You should then click ââ¬Å"Nextâ⬠for the next two screens. This closes the ââ¬Å"communicationsâ⬠and ââ¬Å"Add /Remove Programsâ⬠windows. At this point, ââ¬Å"Dial -Up Networkingâ⬠has been installed in the computer. You must now restart your computer, by simply clicking onto the ââ¬Å"Startâ⬠button once again, which is located at the bottom left of the screen. After this, you should click onto the ââ¬Å"Shut Downâ⬠button. A window will pop up with the options of: Shut down, Stand-by, Restart, or Restart in MS-DOS mode. You should choose the ââ¬Å"Restartâ⬠option. This will reboot the computer. You are now ready to continue with step 2 of the process. El Nino El Nino has been a reoccurring phenomenon for centuries. Man has only started to realize how much of the worlds weather is effected by it. The term El Nino refers to an irregular warming of the seas surface. During the last 40 years there have been 10 significant El Nino occurrences. Most affecting the coast of South America. Water temperatures increase along the coast as far as the Galapagos islands. Weak events will raise the water temperature 2 to 4 degrees Celsius and will have minor impact on fishing. However strong events such as the 1982-83 event will disrupt climate conditions around the world as well as local conditions. It has been linked to floods and droughts all over the world. Hurricanes and tropical storms are also altered in their numbers by El Nino. Therefore it would be very helpful for people if El Nino could be predicted and prepared for in some form. During a El Nino cycle there are many biological changes. Due to a depressed thermocline there is less photosynthetic activity resulting in a decrease in the primary life forms that form the beginning of the food chain. The warmer waters that are brought by these changing cycles hold less dissolved oxygen forcing fish to go deeper or venture elsewhere. Due to a lack of data during El Nino occurrences it is not fully known if fish populations are depleted solely due to exposure to El Nino. A decrease in their growth and reproductive success has been observed by many surveys in coastal waters. The link between climatic effects around the world and El Nino is now well established. It has taken many years of studying to understand how the pieces of the puzzle, from ocean currents to winds and heavy rains fit together. During the 1920s a scientist was on assignment in India trying to predict the Asian monsoons. As he sorted through his records he discovered a connection between barometer readings at stations on the eastern and western sides of the Pacific. He noticed that when pressure rises in the west it usually falls in the east and vice versa. He coined this term Southern Oscillation. I have divided it into three main points. First, a brief history of who we are and when we began and the growth that we have experienced as company. When an employee can see the history of the company and the success that has been accomplished the fear factor diminishes. I think it is important to show the prospective employee that we care about them and their needs as a person. We recognize that we all have certain needs that need to be met. Second, and possibly the most important, what the benefits to the staff are. In Maslows needs hierarchy theory he talks about what truly motivates someone in their job. At the bottom of the pyramid is the physiological need. The basic need for things such as food and water. Once these needs are met you can start thinking about other needs. Next comes the security need. That is where the benefits come into play. I think in todayââ¬â¢s job market, benefits play a huge role. You have to show your employees how much you care for them and their families. If you can satisfy the two bottom needs of Maslows needs hierarchy theory the other three needs that he talks about will be easier met. Once an employee starts to satisfy those needs like the next one of esteem needs the last need of self actualization is easily obtained and you have a wonderful employee. Third, company culture. In having other employees make statements in the brochure helps. In Maslow pyramid, the third need is the belongingness need. By hearing from other employees the prospective employee can get a feel of the culture and family like atmosphere of our company. I think the feeling of belonging to something bigger than you is a big motivation. If you make an employee feel like they are part of the reason for your success you will get a much better response and a better work ethic from them. Hearing this first hand from current employees help them visualize working for your company. Therefore, a good job fair brochure will highlight all the important parts of your company. The most important aspects of the business. The first being the structure of the company. Second, the business model and third, the culture of the company. If all of these aspects are highlighted in the brochure you will be able to entice many applicants for your business.

It had been war but on Saturday morning the war had stopped and the beach down the road stretched enticingly in a gleam and glister of sand and gleaming sea. Deep holes in which the men and women of war had hid in for protection from gunfire and dropping bombs. It now laid silent sound of waves lapping the shore. I was eleven and old enough to be aloud out where ever I wanted to go with my friends. Sean, Nick and I stood in our sandals with our eyes gazing at this watery paradise when to my fury I realized that my eight year old sister Sam had tagged along ââ¬Å"Go awayâ⬠I shouted â⬠You are not old enough to go out with meâ⬠She looked smug ââ¬Å"Dad's gone into town and mum has left us so you have to look after me remember!â⬠I glared at her and pulled a face of pure sisterly hatred but Sean shrugged and said, ââ¬Å"Are we going to the beach or what?â⬠To tell the truth in the first place we were scared to go on the beach even before Sam had showed up in all of her curvaceous glory. It wasn't the fact that the whole beach had signs around it saying, ââ¬Å"beware of mines keep out!â⬠But no one had exactly told us we weren't aloud to go for a swim. In one way or another we did not want our parents to no that we had gone down to the beach for a swim but it was the fact that there was no fence there to keep us out from the gorges archers of sand and miles of sea. I glanced at Sam again ââ¬Å"Go awayâ⬠I shouted ââ¬Å"Neverâ⬠ââ¬Å"Well don't blame me if you get hurt!â⬠After that we all ran throw off our sandals and jumped into the cool refreshing sea. We surfed the giant crashing waves out to sea leaving Sam sitting alone on the beach. We wondered around the rocky floor of the cliffs and rock pools. We climbed up the cliffs, leaving a trail of falling rocks and mud we dumped off of the cliffs in to the sea and through stones at pesky Seagulls, We sat in rock pools and ate stale bread and drank bad water left over from the war. Sam's upset little face made us all feel a little bad inside. We dared each other to climb over the most dangerous rocks and into some of biggest rock pools that you could have ever seen. We also dared each other to look inside the pockets of the dead soldiers that lay scattered and dead all over the rocks from men desperately trying to climb the giant cliffs to safety. Soaked and covered with sand we began to head towards home. I than heard something that I will remember for the rest of my life I heard a giant explosion and me and my friends were knocked clean of are feet as we got up I felt a lot of pain I had bits of shrapnel shot into my legs and arms and stomach. Than Sean shouted ââ¬Å"where's Samâ⬠ââ¬Å"I don't knowâ⬠I replied ââ¬Å"She's your sister go and find herâ⬠Than I heard her screaming for help. I was terrified I could not see anything there was too much smoke and dust from the explosion. Than I saw it a trail of blood in the sand and only half my sister Sam, laying there she had lost half of 1 leg and the whole of the other leg. She was screaming to me ââ¬Å"help help oh please helpâ⬠I shouted for help and only Sean had come because Nick had ran home in pain from the bomb. When Sean came we both had to pick her up Sean was also in a lot of pain from the mine Because he had broken his hand on the way down to the from the explosion we both pulled her up and carried her all the way home struggling trying to keep the blood from gushing from her legs. By this time she had fallen unconscious we didn't know if she was dead or not all that mattered to me was getting her to the hospital that had been set up during the war for injured soldiers. We finally got her there and there and the took her inside right away into another room we tried to follow but we were stopped and taken into an office to be treated ourselves. Than two hours later my dad showed up he was pale and looked sick. He saw me and sat down and started to talk to me â⬠Your sister was very badly injured in the explosionâ⬠he said quietly â⬠I know,â⬠I said ââ¬Å"Well she didn't make it she bleed to death in surgeryâ⬠He said very sadly ââ¬Å"I want you to show me were it happened and tell me everythingâ⬠he said very sternly My mouth was dry I couldn't say a word I was to upset about the loss of my sister I just said very gently ââ¬Å"okâ⬠I took him down to the beach and showed him were it had happened and told him everything that we did that day leaving out some of the stuff that he would have told me off about like playing with the left over guns. He saw the blood and one of her legs with half of the mine wedged into it. His face turned wight and turned away from it and started to walk home.
